  • The 45mph Couch Potato: Greyhounds can run 45 mph for short distances and are the fastest breed of dog, but they are content to spend their retirement snoozing on the sofa.
  • History: Greyhounds are the oldest breed of dog with references dating back thousands of years. Greyhounds were painted on the walls of the Egyptian pyramids and are the only breed of dog mentioned in the Bible. Ownership in England until the 16th century was restricted only to nobility.
